What is Conlok?

The Conlok system is a quick fit unthreaded conduit system, designed to dramatically reduce labour and increase speed of installation. Standard conduit tube is still used, but standard accessories are replaced with Conlok boxes, couplings and adaptors.

With no threaded spout, Conlok is the only fully galvanised conduit system offering enhanced corrosion resistance and a longer lifespan.

How does it work?

Conlok’s grub screw enables quicker installation and removes the need for on-site threading offering labour savings up to 75% and significantly reducing the risk of injury.

Is it approved?

The British Standard Institute has accredited the Conlok system with BS EN 61386-21:2004 the same BS no. as the traditional screwed system. Conlok is the only quick fit system to achieve this standard and the only system to offer a full range of 20mm and 25mm accessories.

Has it been used on any major projects?

Conlok boxes and accessories have been used in several key projects throughout the United Kingdom including: the new Heathrow Terminal 2, The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, the new Glasgow Southern Central Hospital and the multi-million pound Francis Crick Institute in London.

Is it cost-effective against standard conduit?

Yes – the time-savings a contractor will make on installation are typically far in excess of any increase in purchase price over standard fittings. On one project we were told a contractor was saving over 65% labour costs!
